Passionate about the history and beauty of this place, Jean-François was very active, along with his wife Frédérique, in the site's animation. He spared no effort in achieving the restoration of the castle. Under his leadership, the Association was able to meet a wide audience during the activities, events, and conferences organized as part of its objectives of safeguarding, protecting, and promoting the Château de Pieusse.
