We have chosen not to rewrite history, as is very tempting to do as an enlightened amateur, by borrowing the words and fragments of studies of specialist authors who have devoted their work to very comprehensive studies on the history of the Aude valley.
We prefer to gather existing sources concerning the Château de Pieusse, in their original form and content and especially by referring our visitors to the original sources, in the form of a hyperlink. We then asked the authors and reference institutions for permission to publish their content and to reference their authors and documents. This approach was well received by the source people and institutions contacted.
